The National Gallery in Prague

Specialisation: Paintings, statues and graphic works of the modern age

The National Gallery in Prague collects, registers, permanently stores, professionally processes and makes available to the public paintings, statutes and graphic works from the field of so-called new media of domestic and foreign art. This is a collection of several museum palaces, spaces and exhibitions in Prague and there is a one-off single entrance fee for all of them which is valid for seven days. These are: the Kinský Palace, the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia, the Trade Fair Palace, the Sternberg Palace, the Schwarzenberg Palace and the Salm Palace. Exhibitions include permanent and temporary exhibitions and we recommend you prepare a travel itinerary in advance starting from our hotel Kampagarden in the centre of Prague. The most interesting of the permanent exhibitions are:

Medieval Art in Bohemia and Central Europe 1200–1550

Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia, U Milosrdných 17, Prague 1

European Art from Antiquity to Baroque

Sternberg Palace, Hradčanské náměstí 15, Prague 1

The Art of Asia

Kinský Palace, Staroměstské náměstí 12, Prague 1

Museums are open every day except Monday. You can find more information about these extensive museums in English here:
