National Technical Museum Prague

Specialisation: Extensive collections of technology and industry

This museum, which was established in 1908, houses extensive and incredible collections documenting many technical fields, natural and exact sciences and industry in the Czech Republic. Anyone who loves technology, science and learning will certainly enjoy the permanent exhibitions of transportation, architecture, construction, astronomy, printing – photography and television, household technology and the chemistry around us, time and mining among others. Set aside at least half a day for this museum and we recommend getting there from our Hotel Kampa Garden*** in the centre of Prague by taking a pleasant walk (approx. 30 minutes) along the embankments of Prague and through Letná Park with a wonderful view of the river and historical bridges. Or take advantage of the nearby public transport stop by our hotel on Kampa (Malostranské náměstí) and take tram number 12 or 15 to the Letenské náměstí stop, from which the museum is approx. 500m (5 minutes). The museum is open every day except for Monday. Detailed information about the entrance fee, opening hours, exhibits and temporary exhibitions can be found on the official museum website: www.ntm.czen
